Medical colleges play a central and critical role in providing quality health care to the population. They provide essential and tertiary health care facilities and produce competent health care professionals to serve the society. These institutions also conduct advanced research to face the ever changing challenges in the medical field. Teaching and training of undergraduate MBBS students is a great responsibility. At Dr Radhakrishnan Government Medical College, Hamirpur our goal is to produce competent and highly skilled medical graduates who can take care of health needs of society diligently. We want that our medical graduates should be well qualified to provide preventive, promotive, curative, palliative and holistic care compassionately to the population. The Science of Medicine is advancing in leaps and bounds. Keeping pace with ever changing knowledge is a challenge. To keep abreast with advances in the medical science college conducts regular CMEs and is involved in many research proposals. Students are also encouraged to submit their research projects. Presently Dr Radhakrishnan Government Medical College is a budding institution. We have to achieve a lot in respect of infrastructure, health care delivery, academics and excellence. To achieve our goal we need to put collective effort by all the faculty members and other staff of the institution. Time is not for away when this institution will be a centre of excellence in every aspect.
